General conditions of participation

Registration

By registering, you accept the following conditions of participation. In any case, registration for events must be made in writing using the registration function on the website with the appropriate mandatory information. The organizer will confirm the registration at the latest after the registration deadline, unless confirmation has been ruled out. The contract is concluded upon receipt of confirmation, and upon exclusion of confirmation upon registration. If a registration cannot be considered, the organizer will inform the registrant or registrant of this.

Cancellation of events

The organizer has the right to cancel events, particularly if there are insufficient registrations. A claim for compensation is excluded. This also applies in the event of last-minute cancellations or an event cancellation, even if it is no longer possible to notify participants in advance. The options for termination for good cause remain unaffected.

Change of speakers

Insofar as the overall layout of the event is not significantly affected, the change of speakers and changes in the schedule do not entitle participants to withdraw from the contract. The options for termination for good cause remain unaffected.

Exclusion from participation

The organizer is entitled to exclude participants from further participation in special cases (e.g. disruption of the event and business processes).

Liability

The organizer's liability for damage suffered by the customer for any legal reason — including delay, impossibility, poor performance and extracontractual (tort) liability — is excluded, unless the damage was caused by the organizer through gross negligence or intent. The organizer is not liable for damage that may occur due to viruses on copied data carriers. Data carriers brought by participants may generally not be uploaded to our computers. Should the organizer suffer damage as a result of an infringement of this, it reserves the right to assert claims for damages.

Data protection and storage

Data processing is carried out at your request and is required in accordance with Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the stated purposes for the fulfilment of the participation contract and the pre-contractual measures.

The participant agrees that a list of participants including last name, first name and company may be passed on to the speakers and participants of the event. This is done within the legal framework of the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Applicable law

The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies exclusively to the contractual relationship and its implementation.

Photo note

During the event, photos and videos will be created, which will be used for documentation and follow-up reporting. By registering, I agree that recordings made by myself during the event may be used for these purposes without compensation.

The participants agree that images (photos/moving images) may be produced by you as part of the event and published by smart green and its participating partners. The image material may be passed on to partner companies from the programs for advertising purposes.

The participants agree that they may be contacted by smart green if further information and a photo are required as part of the public announcement of the list of participants.
